The Hong Kong-based Ethiopian chef talks about the wedding shoes she had to have, and the inspiration she took from Shanghai construction workers.

“My shoes are by Jacquemus, which I wore to my wedding this year. I chose the shoes before my dress. It’s not the normal way to find the right wedding outfit, but I just had to have those shoes.”

Tesega’s overalls are from Topshop, shirt from Harlan+Holden and sneakers by Feiyue.

“I discovered Feiyue while living in Shanghai, seeing everyone from builders and workmen to the fashionable kids wearing them. I picked mine up in the former French Concession, where they have a tiny shop.”
