Clothes real Hongkongers wear: Tasha Ling, fashion stylist
Thigh-high boots and ripped denim shorts for work, glam accessories, and a thing for Jimmy Choos – Ling is one stylish stylist
“I’m wearing a suede jacket from Sandro and a grey sweater dress from ST Studio,” fashion stylist Tasha Ling says. “While I love working with colours when styling, my main wardrobe comprises neutral colours: black, blue, grey, beige and white.”
Ling wears a bangle from Van Cleef & Arpels, thigh-high boots and clutch both from Jimmy Choo, Louis Vuitton bracelet and ring from ST Studio.
Ling’s work outfit
Ling wears a denim shirt from ST Studio, white top from Club Monaco, shorts from American Eagle Outfitters, cowboy thigh-high boots from Aldo, sunglasses by Gucci, and necklace from David Yurman.
Ling says: “Styling can get quite physical, and involves running around, standing for long hours, and carrying heavy items. Therefore, I naturally gravitate towards pieces that are less restrictive and rigid, such as this multicoloured bag from Tory Burch.”
Styles Ling chooses for leisure
“My trench coat comes from a shop in Shibuya, Tokyo, my white top from American Eagle Outfitters and suede skirt from a shop in Garosu-gil, Seoul. I’m a big fan of camel brown – it complements most of my wardrobe items.”
Ling wears a cross ring from Arte, Perlee ring and bangles from Van Cleef & Arpels, shoes from Jimmy Choo and bucket bag from Tuscan’s.
Ling says: “For accessories, I like to glam it up with sunglasses from Bottega Veneta, and cosmetics from Tom Ford, Crabtree & Evelyn, Dolce & Gabbana, Victoria Beckham and Gucci. As you can tell, I have a soft spot for anything in black and gold packaging.”
