Practical and functional, Davena Mok goes for fashion that doesn’t slow her down

“I’m wearing an Asos tank top, bomber jacket from K-Style Lab and Alice McCall skirt. I tend to wear a lot of black, so pops of neon colour are an important part of my wardrobe. I am a very practical, functional and busy person. Since heels slow me down, I like to wear sneakers like these Nike Flyknit Chukkas throughout the whole day.”

Styles Mok wears for work

“My jacket is from Sacai, skirt from Rick Owens and sandals from Monki. They are three of my favourite brands, even though they each have different aesthetics. I especially love contrasting the jacket’s voluminous back with the long skirt’s tight fit.”

Mok also wears a white T-shirt from Public School for J.Crew (which she customised by cutting off the sleeves), Rebecca Minkoff earrings, Iosselliani for Beams rings and a Rolex Submariner watch.

“I love simplifying my life like [organising consultant and author] Marie Kondo, and filling my wardrobe with things I truly love. TheHula.com, where I have purchased this Givenchy purse, gives me the chance to buy and sell beautiful things that aren’t at full retail price. I’m a practical person, and paying less for a designer bag means money for my kids’ school tuition.”

Mok also uses a black Jimmy Choo tote bag and BeatsX earphones.

“My husband Lance and I first learnt Reiki three and a half years ago. We both wanted more out of life, and needed answers to our place in the universe. We use these stones for overall healing, protection and ornamental fun. The stones include black tourmaline and clear quartz, and were purchased from Shakti Healing Circle and omshivaloka.com.”
