London Fashion Week: we pick the best looks
Fashion editor Jing Zhang chooses the top creations from designers showing their autumn/winter 2015 collections in the British capital
Hot on the heels of New York's fashion week and amid the parade of stars on the Oscars red carpet in Los Angeles, London Fashion Week showed the British capital is where designers still take the biggest risks.
From the avant garde futurist army at Gareth Pugh to Burberry Prorsum's rich, vibrant tapestry fabrics, London designers are clearly not shy of making a statement.
Vivienne Westwood once again interwove fashion and politics, and Simone Rocha solidified her status as the young designer du jour.
Colours were vibrant and strong, as at Jonathan Saunders or Roksanda Illincic, and fun, pop motif references also made an appearance at House of Holland among others. And unlike in New York, or for that matter, at the Oscars, there was plenty of darkly poetic romance; just look towards Giles, Temperley and Osman.
