Who doesn't like to eat great food without spending a lot? Reviewers for the Post's 48 Hours magazine are always on the lookout for new restaurants that don't bust your budget. They've recently tried four Japanese restaurants offering meals for under HK$100. Click on the headlines below to read their reviews.


Wasabi Warriors, Central - fast Japanese food (CLOSED)

The marinated Peking duck and shallots rice roll (HK$32) ... was a good variation on the traditional Chinese dish








Tsukemen Mitaseimenjo, Causeway Bay - ramen

The thick strands of cold noodles had a pleasant, bouncy bite, even after we dipped them in the hot soup.









Cat's Eye Bistro, Wan Chai - Japanese comfort food

The sweet onion and minced pork curry is made with 35 spices, honey and lots of onion










Sama, Central - Japanese soup curry pleasantly complex

The heat level (zero to 30) is ... indicated by three badges — baby bear, adult bear and crazy bear.
