Cafe East at the New World Millennium hotel in Tsim Sha Tsui is taking diners around the world on the dinner buffet that’s available until the end of December. Guests can taste an international selection of dishes such as seafood laksa; roasted Iberico pork rack with foie gras sauce; double-boiled supreme soup with abalone, chicken and brassica; and curry with roti prata.


The buffet is HK$518 plus 10 per cent (HK$260 for children) Monday to Thursday and HK$578 plus 10 per cent (HK$290 for children) Friday to Sunday and on public holidays. Bookings: 2313 4222.

The Park Cafe at the Park Hotel in Tsim Sha Tsui is featuring seafood on the dinner buffet until January 4. The buffet selection includes lobster bisque with crabmeat in puff pastry; black truffle and tomato crab cake.

There’s also mini bamboo charcoal burger with wagyu and crab leg; assorted seafood platter; deep-fried soft shell crab with salted egg yolk; and Singaporean chilli crab.

The dinner buffet is HK$418 plus 10 per cent (HK$288 for children) Monday to Thursday and HK$448 plus 10 per cent (HK$308 for children) Friday to Sunday and the eve and day of public holidays. Bookings: 2731 2168.

Guest chef Andreas Tucek is cooking Austrian dishes on the lunch and supper buffets at The Lounge at the JW Marriott hotel in Admiralty until December 19. The chef’s dishes include pumpkin cream soup with Styrian black pumpkin seed oil; deer stew with mushrooms; venison medallions with gingerbread sauce; wiener schnitzel; boneless duck with chestnut bread stuffing; Viennese apple strudel and Sachertorte. The lunch buffet is available Monday to Friday for HK$448 plus 10 per cent. From December 14-16, the supper buffet is HK$418 plus 10 per cent (HK$308 for children); from December 17-19 it’s HK$558 plus 10 per cent (HK$358 for children). Bookings: 2810 8366.
Sunset at Le Meridien Cyberport in Pok Fu Lam will have a dinner on December 16 featuring Weingut Landmann organic German wines. The five-course dinner is HK$688 plus 10 per cent and includes organic pumpkin soup with mixed mushroom ravioli paired with the Landmann Sauvignon Blanc 2014; and roasted guinea fowl breast with black truffle risotto with the Landmann Pinot Noir 2014. MO Bar at The Landmark Mandarin Oriental in Central is serving a Burberry “Simply British” afternoon tea until the end of December. The three-tier tea set includes British roast beef sandwich with tangy house-made horseradish sauce; Battenberg cake with blueberry jam; Victoria sponge with clotted cream and strawberries; Bakewell tart; and scones with clotted cream and English jams. The tea set is HK$338 plus 10 per cent. Bookings: 2132 0077.
The Chinese Restaurant at the Hyatt Regency in Tsim Sha Tsui is serving Cantonese winter dishes until the end of the month. The a la carte selection includes traditional snake soup; braised chicken with sweetened Chinese rice wine; braised lamb with bamboo shoots and black mushrooms; braised carp with ginger and spring onions in casserole.

There’s also stir-fried soft-shell turtle with white peppercorns, assorted vegetables and ginger; and wok-fried shredded venison with fish maw and spicy chilli sauce. Bookings: 3721 7788.
