Hong Kong menu specials: Épure welcomes Michelin-starred chef, and The Optimist goes Peruvian

Beertopia returns to Central Harbourfront,Fook Lam Moon pairs classic Cantonese dishes with Burgundy wines and Ozone’s Parisian pop-up bar

Olivier Bellin from the Michelin two-star L’Auberge des Glazicks in Plomodiern, France, will be cooking specialities from Brittany at Épure restaurant in Tsim Sha Tsui on November 15 and 16. The chef’s dishes are available for lunch on a set menu that has three courses (HK$788 plus 10 per cent), four courses (HK$988 plus 10 per cent) set menu, or on a six-course set dinner (HK$1,988 plus 10 per cent). Peruvian chef Arturo Melendez from Eru restaurant in Singapore will be collaborating with The Optimist chef Alfredo Rodriguez in a Peruvian cuisine promotion from November 13-17 and November 20-24. The dinner is HK$550 inclusive, with dishes of hamachi tiradito; Peruvian ceviche; charcoal-grilled Iberian pork skewer pincho moruno; and lomo saltado (grilled rib-eye with vegetables, fried potatoes, chimichurri and soy sauce reduction). From November 16-20, Ozone at The Ritz-Carlton, Hong Kong in West Kowloon will host a pop-up of Candelaria bar in Paris. Fook Lam Moon will hold a dinner on November 22 pairing classic Cantonese dishes with the wines from Domaine Faiveley in Burgundy. The dinner, which is HK$1,880 plus 10 per cent, includes deep-fried sea cucumber with chilli and garlic paired with the Joseph Faiveley Chambol Musigny Premier Cru Les Charmes 2011; deep-fried chicken wing stuffed with bird’s nest with the Domaine Faiveley Echezeaux Grand Cru 2012; and pan-fried Hida beef with the Domaine Faiveley Corton Grand Cru Clos des Cortons Faiveley 2011.
