The Lobby Lounge at the Marco Polo Hongkong hotel in Tsim Sha Tsui is featuring a special burger menu until the end of April. The selection includes “the original smiley” (with beef patties, egg, bacon, cheese and fried onion rings); double decker surf & turf (beef patty and fish patty, fresh avocado, grapefruit and pineapple); the “Oktoberfest” (beef patty with sauerkraut, pickles, cheddar cheese and sweet mayonnaise in a cumin bun); and a veggie burger (asparagus, eggplant, portobello mushroom and cucumber). The InterContinental Grand Stanford hotel in Tsim Sha Tsui has Japanese dishes on its dinner buffet at Cafe on M until April 30. On the buffet are dishes of sushi and sashimi; cold noodles; ramen; robatayaki; tempura; tonkatsu; sakura pork spare ribs; and seafood chawan mushi with yuzu. The Hotel Icon in Tsim Sha Tsui and The Flying Winemaker are collaborating on what they say is the first wine festival to feature Asian wines. For an entry fee of HK$240, guests at the event on April 19 can taste sparkling wine from Bali, koshu from Japan, and a Bordeaux-style red from Ningxia, as well as other wines from around the region. Senzuru Japanese restaurant at the Harbour Plaza Metropolis in Hung Hom is featuring Yamaguchi geoduck until the end of April. The à la carte selection includes teppanyaki Yamaguchi geoduck with US asparagus and mushrooms; Yamaguchi geoduck cooked with sake; Yamaguchi geoduck and vegetable cake tempura; and Yamaguchi geoduck and clams in supreme soup.
