Dessert shop Sweet Fashion House has quickly gained a following with its innovative desserts. For Chinese New Year, master pastry chef Gael Majchrzak has created a cake that’s shaped like a mandarin orange (HK$58) with a few gold sprinkles dusted on top for a sparkly effect.

When sliced open, the cake reveals a mandarin and cardamom-flavoured sponge cake, with a yuzu and white chocolate mousse. The centre features pure mandarin jelly from Corsica. It tastes very light and refreshing thanks to the yuzu.
