The best new Hong Kong restaurants I have eaten at in the past month have served up stellar sandwiches, scintillating skewers and fantastic modern British fare. If you haven’t tried these top picks yet, get on down in April.

The version at Homeslice uses a thick slice of mortadella and adds pickled cabbage and sriracha mayo for a spicy kick. The pizzas are good, too. For full review, click here

This is the place to go to if you like various types of chicken “parts”, especially the organ meats. Birdie specialises in yakitori – grilled chicken skewers – cooked in the open kitchen over binchotan charcoal. For full review, click here
