With the Tuen Ng, or Dragon Boat Festival just around the corner, some people are gearing up for boat races around Hong Kong, while others are looking forward to indulging in rice dumplings.

This year, many hotels and restaurants have jumped aboard the healthy food bandwagon and are offering vegetarian and vegan rice dumplings.

New this year at the Cantonese restaurant are two vegan rice dumpling options. One is the dried morel mushroom and multigrain rice dumpling (HK$96), full of fibre-rich ingredients such as quinoa, chickpeas, chestnuts, dried morel mushrooms, cordyceps flower, and seaweed.
