Hestia Kitchen is supposedly the first restaurant in Hong Kong with the food cooked by robots.

It’s a tiny place – mostly bar seating, with just two large tables. Most customers were there to order takeaway, while a few food delivery men were collecting orders.

A large window offers a peek at the two robots at work and customers can watch ingredients being automatically added to a large pot that looked like a pressure cooker. But because the pots are so tall, we couldn’t really see much. When the food is ready, the pot is flipped over a plate by a robotic arm and the dish is done.

The menu is small, with just 10 dishes on offer: four signature stir-fries, three pork-based stir-fries, and three steamed dishes.
