Announced on June 15, before the unveiling of the Michelin star rankings for 2023 on June 27, the list of new Bib Gourmand awardees features 17 hawker stalls and two restaurants.

Michelin’s Bib Gourmand recommendations highlight venues that are considered to offer good value for money and, in Singapore, tend to feature casual restaurants, street food and hawker stalls. The additions take the number of Bib Gourmand restaurants in Singapore to 79.

“The inspection team has discovered a great number of hawker stalls with flavoursome dishes from different ethnic groups, each with their own secret recipes,” said Gwendal Poullennec, the Michelin Guides’ international director. “Beyond taste, these gems are also an inheritance of culture, which serves as a strong positioning of Singapore’s cuisine to both locals and tourists.”
