1. July 4 food round-up

Hong Kong’s dining scene is rolling out an all-American spread for US Independence Day, with venues across the city hosting barbecues, buffets and backyard-style feasts from July 4 through the weekend.

Kicking off the festivities, Honky Tonks Tavern in Central presents its Honky Americana Weekend on July 4 and 5. Running from 2pm until late, the two-day event serves up its signature smashed burgers alongside exclusive specials such as hard slushies, picklebacks and limited-edition drinks.
Meanwhile, Smoke & Barrel offers an all-day smoked meat buffet – including brunch, happy hour and evening barbecue for HK$400 (US$51) at each of the sessions. Available at both its Central and Sai Ying Pun locations, the buffet features unlimited Texas-style barbecue, smoked Wagyu brisket, pork belly, baby back ribs, Wagyu picanha, classic sides and desserts.
For a set-menu experience, Fini’s in SoHo is offering multi-course meals – set at HK$288 per guest, with an optional HK$298 add-on for two hours of free-flow alcohol – and at Frank’s in Central, there will be a rooftop cookout on July 4 from 6pm to 9pm with an open-fire American spread for HK$350 or HK$550 with drinks.
