Hong Kong Island’s nightlife neighbourhood is turning the streets into a gigantic hub for local and international fans to gather. The area is showing matches on big screens in the streets, and many venues are altering their hours to accommodate the World Cup schedule.
The football festivities, which kicked off on June 11, are divided into two acts. Until July 17, the streets’ watch parties include photography installations and different activities to get the crowds excited.
From July 18, the grand finale will begin. Food and drink vendors will set up shop, live performances will be held on the streets, and pedestrian areas will morph into gigantic zones for fans.
