Tokyo Olympics: that sports tape divers, gymnasts and other athletes cover their bodies with – could it benefit you?

  • Body tape is used by athletes for many reasons, from the white cotton tape worn for support to elastic therapeutic tape that’s highly effective for pain control
  • Known as kinesiology tape, therapeutic tape was pioneered by a Japanese chiropractor in the 1970s. It didn’t really become mainstream until the 2008 Olympics
