Eu, now 23, first felt the grip of anxiety and depression at the age of 11 when she lived in Hong Kong. Mental health was not a welcome topic of conversation, and helpful resources were scant.

She turned to the internet – including Tumblr and other social media platforms – for answers, which is where she learned to identify what she was feeling as she battled a lack of motivation, general fatigue and lack of interest in daily activities.
