A popular series gears up for a new season while a hit Korean film and a webtoon both get ready for K-drama remakes in this week’s new small-screen casting announcements.
1. Spellbound
Park Eun-bin (Extraordinary Attorney Woo) and Yang Se-jong (Low Life) have been offered the leading roles in a drama remake of the horror romcom film Spellbound, starring Son Ye-jin and Lee Min-ki.
The new spin will focus on a hotel heiress who can see ghosts and a prosecutor who works to solve murder cases. Together, they begin to investigate paranormal cases.

Park, who recently starred in the medical thriller Hyper Knife, is looking over the part of Cheon Yeo-ri, the glamorous CEO of a luxury hotel whose nights are haunted by restless spirits. She will first be seen in the Netflix superhero drama The Wonderfools alongside Cha Eun-woo.

Released in 2011, Spellbound was one of the top ten most well-attended domestic films of that year, drawing more than 2.8 million viewers.
2. Back to Work
Seo In-guk (Doom at Your Service) and Park Ji-hyun (Flex X Cop) have been tapped to lead the coming tvN drama Back to Work, based on the webtoon of the same name.
