It looks like 2025 is saving the best for last when it comes to K-dramas, with global streamers scheduling many of their heavy hitters for December.
Read on to find out what to catch over the next month.
1. The Price of Confession
Lead cast: Kim Go-eun, Jeon Do-yeon, Park Hae-soo


Memories of the Sword co-stars Kim Go-eun and Jeon Do-yeon reunite for the thriller The Price of Confession, which has been generating buzz in the industry thanks to scripts penned by Kwon Jong-kwan, the filmmaker known for Sad Movie and Proof of Innocence.
Directing the series is Crash Landing on You director Lee Jung-hyo.
Jeon plays an art teacher whose peaceful life is overturned following the murder of her husband, a crime she is accused of. While in jail, she meets the mysterious Mo-eun (Kim), and they strike a dangerous deal.
Park Hae-soo (Squid Game season one) plays the prosecutor who investigates the women. (Netflix, December 5)
2. Surely Tomorrow
Lead cast: Park Seo-joon, Won Ji-an


Park Seo-joon (Itaewon Class) stars as entertainment reporter Lee Gyeong-do in the romantic comedy Surely Tomorrow. Joining him on screen is Won Ji-an (Squid Game season two) as Seo Ji-woo, Gyeong-do’s ex-lover from their university theatre group.
Although their relationship ended, they got back together eight years later, only to sever ties once more. Now, Gyeong-do is working on the story of a scandal involving Ji-woo’s husband, bringing the pair back together again.
Surely Tomorrow is the latest series from writer Yoo Young-ah (Divorce Attorney Shin, Thirty-Nine). (JTBC/Prime Video, December 6)
3. Pro Bono
Lead cast: Jung Kyung-ho


Hospital Playlist star Jung Kyung-ho plays a lawyer for the second time this year, following Oh My Ghost Clients, in the drama Pro Bono. He takes on the role of Kang Da-wit, an ambitious judge moving up the ladder fast, until a controversial case leads to his resignation.
Da-wit regroups and decides to become a human rights lawyer at a non-profit firm known as Pro Bono. There, he joins forces with the idealist Park Ki-bbeum (So Ju-yeon, The Midnight Romance in Hagwon) to help people in desperate situations.
Pro Bono is directed by Kim Sung-yoon (Itaewon Class) and written by Moon Yoo-seok (The Devil Judge). (tvN, December 6)
4. Villains
Lead cast: Yoo Ji-tae, Kwak Do-won, Lee Beom-soo, Lee Min-jung

Yoo Ji-tae (Vigilante) leads the series Villains as the criminal mastermind “J”, who never fails to pull off his daring crimes. Kwak Do-won (The Wailing) appears as Jang Joon-hyeok, a corrupt detective who takes bribes and steals from thieves.
Lee Beom-soo (Mercy for None) plays Cha Ki-tae, who used to head the financial crime team at the National Intelligence Service (NIS) until his life went topsy-turvy thanks to one of J’s ploys.
Genius counterfeit artist Han Soo-hyun (Lee Min-jung, Once Again) bides her time and uses her “super notes” to exact revenge on J. (TVing/HBO Max, December 18)
5. Love Me
Lead cast: Seo Hyun-jin, Chang Ryul


Seo Hyun-jin (The Trunk) leads the cast of the melodrama Love Me as Seo Joon-kyung, a single woman working as an OB-GYN. Despite appearances, things are far from perfect, and she lives a lonely life, harbouring a dark secret from her past.
Her family collapsed seven years ago, which caused her to run away and never look back. She eventually meets a man who allows her to open up about her past and loneliness.
Love Me is directed by Jo Young-min, who made the acclaimed series You and Everything Else earlier this year. (JTBC, December 19)
6. I Dol I
Lead cast: Choi Soo-young, Kim Jae-young


Girls’ Generation member Choi Soo-young (Second Shot at Love) plays Maeng Se-na, a star lawyer known for taking on high-profile criminal cases, for which she has been dubbed “lawyer for villains”.
Se-na also has a secret: she is a huge fan of K-pop star Do Ra-ik (Kim Jae-young, The Judge from Hell). Her professional life and personal passion suddenly collide when she takes on a new case defending Ra-ik against a murder accusation. (ENA, December 22)
7. Made in Korea
Lead cast: Hyun Bin, Jung Woo-sung


Hyun Bin and Woo Min-ho, the director of Harbin, join forces again for the political thriller Made in Korea.
Set in the turbulent 1970s, when Korea was ruled by military dictator Park Chung-hee, the show focuses on the ambitious Baek Ki-tae (Hyun) and the tenacious Jang Gun-young (Jung Woo-sung, 12.12: The Day).
This high-budget series has already been renewed for a second season, which is currently in production and expected to drop in late 2026. (Disney+, December 24)
8. Cashero
Lead cast: Lee Jun-ho, Kim Hye-jun

Based on a webcomic of the same name, Cashero tells the story of Kang Sang-woong (Lee Jun-ho, Typhoon Family), a public servant at a community centre who suddenly develops a superpower.
His power is superhuman strength, but it only works in proportion to how much money he has: he becomes strong when he has money, and when he uses his strength, he becomes broke.
Kim Hye-jun (A Shop for Killers) plays his level-headed girlfriend Kim Min-sook, while Kim Byung-chul (Doctor Cha) and Kim Hyang-gi (Along with the Gods) appear as other characters with unusual superpowers. (Netflix, December 26)
