The year 2026 welcomes its first serial killer K-drama with the high-concept Bloody Flower, a series that toys with whether a life can ever be taken in the name of the greater good.

Leading the show are Ryeoun (Weak Hero Class 2) as a medically minded mass murderer, Keum Sae-rok (The Interest of Love) as the driven prosecutor gunning for the death sentence, and Sung Dong-il (Typhoon Family) as the wily lawyer trying to get him off the hook.

Blending courtroom thrills into its procedural elements, the series is the latest addition to the legal K-drama trend, following hot on the heels of The Judge Returns and Honour, both currently airing.

Taking centre stage is Lee Woo-gyeom (Ryeoun), a medical prodigy arrested in the opening scenes while operating on his latest victim. Eerily composed, Woo-gyeom surrenders without a fight and soon volunteers that he has claimed 17 lives to date and that their body parts are stored in a freezer behind him.
