Rising K-pop team Itzy returned on Friday with a new single, Mafia In the Morning.
The sharpshooting single fronts the five-member team’s “Guess Who” EP, the band’s fourth Korean mini-album since 2019, which also dropped on Friday.
Literally titled Ma. Fi. A In the Morning in Korean, Itzy’s trap-fuelled dance-meets-hip-hop track is dubbed solely as In the Morning in English. The title is a reference to the popular party game Mafia, and a metaphor for aiming to be caught in a relationship.

Itzy, whose name is typically stylised in all-capital letters, have seen their international profile grow and they regularly top charts in South Korea.

Guess Who follows the release of their “NOT SHY (ENGLISH VER.)” album in January, which featured several of their hit songs recast in English.
