Our latest round of K-drama casting news features a pair of romantic dramas, a new legal show and a thriller series starring one of Korea’s most beloved screen icons.

1. Acquaintances

Han Ji-min, currently on screens in the JTBC drama Behind Your Touch, may join forces with Lee Joon-hyuk, recently seen playing the villain in The Roundup: No Way Out, in the forthcoming drama Acquaintances. Both actors have received casting offers for the series.

Han has been approached for the part of Kang Ji-yoon, the CEO of a headhunting company who thrives at work but is clumsy in all other aspects of her life.

Lee is being eyed for the part of Yoo Eun-ho, a single father raising a six-year-old daughter who becomes Ji-yoon’s secretary. The proud Eun-ho excels at his work and seems perfect in every way.

Before the hit series Behind Your Touch, in which she appears as a veterinary surgeon with magical abilities, Han recently featured in Our Blues. Lee’s last drama was Our Beloved Summer, and he will soon be seen in the Disney+ thriller Vigilante.

2. A Man and a Woman

Donghae (also known as Lee Dong-hae) of the K-pop act Super Junior is set to star in the coming romantic drama A Man and a Woman alongside Lee Seol.

In this series, based on a webtoon, the pair will play a couple who have been dating for seven years but are in danger of breaking up owing to a momentary mistake.
