The protagonists of Queen of Divorce, played by Lee Ji-ah (The Penthouse) and Kang Ki-young (Extraordinary Attorney Woo), were once formidable members of the legal profession but, after seeing their efforts foiled by corporate greed and civic corruption, they now operate beyond the scope of the law and are vigilantes for divorce.

As the show begins, this idea is displayed in exaggerated fashion: Kim Sa-ra (Lee) channels James Bond as she infiltrates a house to save a young boy from a shotgun-toting husband. This man is the boy’s father, and he has kidnapped his son to push his wife’s hand during their divorce proceedings.
