The investigative drama and the chaebol (Korea family-run corporation) drama continue to meld in entertaining fashion in the zippy action-thriller-comedy Flex X Cop, featuring Ahn Bo-hyun (See You in My 19th Life) as a cocksure conglomerate heir who switches from a life of leisure to a violent crime unit detective’s beat overnight.
After coming on a little strong in its opening episodes, as it introduced us to Jin I-soo (Ahn) and the events leading up to the PR stunt that turns him into a police officer, the series has settled into a more assured groove as I-soo and his frustrated new colleagues, led by detective Lee Gang-hyun (Park Ji-hyun, Reborn Rich), tackle new cases every couple of episodes.
