As Korea welcomes the chill autumn air following a particularly stubborn summer, a jam-packed K-drama schedule gives viewers every reason to keep warm indoors.
1. Brewing Love
Lead cast: Kim Se-jeong, Lee Jong-won
Kim Se-jeong (The Uncanny Counter) plays Chae Yong-joo, an ex-special forces member who has been working as a salesperson for a spirits company for the past six years.


When her branch faces imminent closure, she takes all her skills and puts them to work to sell a new beer. This new beer is made by brewer Yoon Min-woo (Lee Jong-won, Knight Flower), who quietly works in the countryside.
However, Yong-joo is not the only person vying for Min-woo’s product. (ENA, November 4)
2. Face Me
Lead cast: Lee Min-ki, Han Ji-hyun


Lee Min-ki (My Liberation Notes) and The Penthouse actress Han Ji-hyun team up as a plastic surgeon and detective in the coming comedy crime drama Face Me.
Lee plays Cha Jung-woo, a brilliant surgeon who is able to visualise how an injury happened and exactly how to fix it without lifting a finger, but he lacks social skills.
He soon clashes with the headstrong violent crimes detective Lee Min-hyun (Han) after he volunteers to support victims of criminals. (KBS2, November 6)
3. Gangnam B-Side
Lead cast: Ji Chang-wook, Jo Woo-jin, Bibi, Ha Yoon-kyung


Following the steamy period drama Queen Woo and the action noir Revolver, Ji Chang-wook once again musses up his image in the crime series Gangnam B-Side.
He plays Yoon Gil-ho, a pimp who goes out on a limb to save escort Jae-hee, played by Ji’s The Worst of Evil co-star Bibi.
Jae-hee is connected to a series of disappearances being investigated by detective Kang Dong-woo (Jo Woo-jin, Narco-Saints) and prosecutor Min Seo-jin (Ha Yoon-kyung, Extraordinary Attorney Woo). (Disney+, November 6)
4. The Fiery Priest season 2
Lead cast: Kim Nam-gil, Lee Ha-nee, Kim Sung-kyung, Bibi


Kim Nam-gil is back as “fiery priest” Kim Hae-il, a hot-tempered Catholic priest who seeks out justice in his own unique fashion.
Also returning are the equally fiery prosecutor Park Kyung-sun (Lee Ha-nee) and his sidekick, detective Gu Dae-young (Kim Sung-kyung).
The trio head down to Busan on the south coast for a new case, where they are helped by local detective Gu Ja-young (Bibi). (SBS, November 8)
5. Mr Plankton
Lead cast: Woo Do-hwan, Lee Yoo-mi, Oh Jung-se, Kim Hae-sook


Woo Do-hwan (Bloodhounds) and Lee Yoo-mi (Squid Game) join forces for the road trip drama Mr Plankton.
Woo plays Hae Jo, a young man who does what he wants until some news compels him to go in search of his real father.
Jo Jae-mi (Lee), who wants a family, is engaged to the rich Eo Heung (Oh Jung-se, It’s Okay to Not Be Okay), who is just looking to be loved.
She pretends to be pregnant and Hae Jo, who finds out her secret, kidnaps her on her wedding day. Together, they go looking for his father. (Netflix, November 8)
6. Marry You
Lead cast: Lee Yi-kyung, Jo Soo-min


Lee Yi-kyung (Marry My Husband) and Jo Soo-min (The Penthouse) team up for the island-set romantic comedy Marry You.
Lee plays Bong Cheol-hui, a kooky bachelor on the island who is no one’s ideal marriage partner. Jo is Jung Ha-na, who is hired to a team formed to help Cheol-hi get married.
However, after experiencing terrible heartbreak, Ha-na herself does not actually believe in marriage. (Channel A, November 16)
7. Parole Examiner Lee
Lead cast: Go Soo, Kwon Yuri


Last seen in both seasons of Missing: The Other Side, Go Soo returns to screens as the titular character of Parole Examiner Lee.
Lee Han-shin is an idiosyncratic parole officer who attempts to thwart people using money and power to manipulate the system.
He works with Choi Hwa-ran (Baek Ji-won, Extraordinary Attorney Woo), a private lender with a grudge, and soon crosses paths with top detective An Seo-yoon (Kwon Yuri, Good Job). (tvN, November 18)
8. When the Phone Rings
Lead cast: Yoo Yeon-seok, Chae Soo-bin

Yoo Yeon-seok (Hospital Playlist) headlines this thriller as Back Sa-eon, Korea’s youngest ever presidential spokesperson.
He is married to Hong Hee-joo (Chae Soo-bin, The Fabulous), the daughter of a newspaper owner who works as a sign language interpreter in court.
Their marriage is largely one of convenience, until one day, when Hee-joo is suddenly kidnapped. (MBC, November 22)
9. Love Your Enemy
Lead cast: Ju Ji-hoon, Jung Yu-mi


Ju Ji-hoon (Kingdom) and Jung Yu-mi (The School Nurse Files) headline a romantic drama playing childhood rivals who reunite as adults.
Although they share the same first name, birthday and hometown, Seok Ji-won (Ju) and Yoon Ji-won (Jung) belong to families that despise each other.
They grew up as rivals in school until the day Ji-won suddenly disappeared. He eventually returns as the chairman of Dokmok High School, the school they both attended. Ji-won also works there as a PE teacher who cannot bear injustice. (tvN, November 23)
10. The Trunk
Lead cast: Seo Hyun-jin, Gong Yoo


The last Netflix Korea original before Squid Game season 2 arrives in December will be the mystery drama The Trunk.
Seo Hyun-jin (Why Her) plays Noh In-ji, a woman working as a wife for hire. After finishing her fourth marriage she gets ready to marry music producer Han Jeong-won (Gong Yoo, Guardian: The Lonely and Great God) for a year.
Jeong-won misses his ex-wife, who strangely was the person who arranged this fake marriage. As the unlikely pair get to know each other, a mysterious trunk recovered from a lake turns up before them.
The Trunk is based on an original novel by Kim Ryeo-ryeong, whose work has previously been adapted as Punch and Thread of Lies. (Netflix, November 29)
11. The Tale of Lady Ok
Lead cast: Lim Ji-yeon, Choo Young-woo


Lim Ji-yeon (The Glory) takes on the title role of this Joseon Era period drama about Ok Tae-young, a slave who goes from rags to riches after fabricating an entirely fake persona.
Tae-young then meets Cheon Seung-hwi (Choo Young-woo, Oasis) a travelling storyteller who falls in love with her at first sight. (JTBC, November 30)
