The throngs of Hong Kong Kpop fans have turned out at Asia World-Expo to witness their favourite acts. But who will win?

Mnet Asian Music Awards returned to Hong Kong tonight for the fourth consecutive year. Fans of K-pop came to AsiaWorld-Expo to see for their favourite acts turn up at Korea’s biggest pop music awards show.

The winner of best male group was EXO who also won album of the year. Their win was a bit of an upset as Big Bang was leading the people's choice award by a decent margin of about 3 million votes. But Big Bang's night wasn't ruined as the favourites took out the artist and song of the year awards. 

Best female group was Girls Generation, which was leading the people's choice vote by 0.3 per cent with about 14.6 million votes.

Acts tonight included f(x), Big Bang, iKON, Got7, MonsterX, BTS, EXO, PSY, SHINee and many more. 

English electronic music duo Pet Shop Boys played live with girlband f(x) in a special set.

Hong Kong film actor Chow Yun-fat presented the final winning trophy of the evening to Big Bang. Stars walked the red carpet to grace the glittering arena, decked out with simultaneously screaming and crying fans.
