Jones’ management did not elaborate further, but his 75-year-old wife, Linda, is known to have developed emphysema and has had several cancer scares.
The Hong Kong date was part of an Asian tour that also included performances in Manila, Bangkok, Seoul, Tokyo and Osaka. All these shows have been cancelled.
Concert organiser Live Nation Lushington says tickets purchased by credit card will be refunded to the same credit card account within 30 working days. Tickets bought with cash can be refunded at the HK Ticketing box office at the Convention and Exhibition Centre.
