Take a journey back in time at Hoi Wan Heen Chinese restaurant
Converted former marine police headquarters serving delicious Cantonese and Sichuan fusion cuisine is full of charm
Entering this restaurant is like stepping back in time at the former marine police headquarters on Canton Road.
The décor is reminiscent of an old Shanghai tea house. With fewer than 10 tables inside, the courtyard outside provides more space for events.
The Cantonese and Sichuan fusion cuisine is served in a contemporary style, with dishes such as potato bun stuffed with chicken curry, and deep-fried carrot dumpling with minced pork. The menu includes braised Boston lobster in black truffle with inaniwa udon and chicken with Sichuan chilli sauce. For dessert, try the deep-fried sweet purple potato custard dumplings.
