A branch of Michelin-starred Fortaleza do Guincho in Portugal, this restaurant serves up authentic old favourites with a modern twist

Macau’s first Portuguese fine-dining restaurant is a branch of the Michelin-starred Fortaleza do Guincho in Portugal, and offers authentic cuisine. The rich interior, featuring gold and blue carpeting and curtains, comfortable chairs, white tablecloths and silverware, is classic with contemporary accents. 

Abalone and mixed seafood with spring vegetables at Guincho a Galera 

The chef’s recommendations include bacalhau and snail coquette, grilled king prawn, and smoked duck breast and foie gras with rhubarb, orange and fennel salad. Desserts include beer brioche with stewed pear and beer ice cream, chocolate fondant with caramelised banana and Algarve clementine gratin with mandarin orange sherbet.
