Kaiseki menus steal the show at Yamazato
This is the only Japanese restaurant in Macau that specialises in this much loved Kyoto cuisine
This Japanese fine-dining restaurant specialises in exquisite kaiseki sets prepared by executive chef Akira Hayashi. The Zen garden-like space has views across the Cotai Strip, but all eyes will be on the creatively presented dishes, such as sashimi served under an ice dome and a black bean decorated with gold flakes.
The menu features traditional Japanese favourites including tempura and wagyu beef, but the highlight is the kaiseki ryori sets – the Kyoto cuisine known for its subtle flavours, seasonal ingredients and order of courses determined by the cooking method for each dish. Sake fans will appreciate the sommelier’s suggestions.
