Ah Yat Harbour View Restaurant: restaurant review

  • Namesake chef Yeung Koon-yat is widely celebrated as the city’s abalone master and, unsurprisingly, the mollusc is one of the signatures here

Ah Yat Harbour View Restaurant celebrates two of the city’s great treasures in its name: its namesake chef Yeung Koon-yat, who is widely celebrated as the city’s abalone master and even boasts his own abalone brand, and the uninterrupted Victoria Harbour views from the dining area, high above Tsim Sha Tsui.

Unsurprisingly the mollusc is one of the fine dining restaurant’s signature dishes, as are the braised sea cucumber and claypot fried rice.

Not one to rest on its laurels or the obvious appeal of its harbour view, the restaurant sports a gold and blue colour palette to create a warm, welcoming and elegant environment.
