I Know a Place: Bruno Simões favourite places to dine in Macau
I am originally from Portugal, but have lived in Macau on and off for 13 years. My company organises events for Mice (meetings, incentives, conventions and exhibitions) groups so I know a lot of restaurants in the city.

When I am entertaining clients or visitors I like to take them to (261 Rua do Almirante Sergio, tel: +853 2896 7878). The dining experience here is wonderful, with a great environment, nice decor, good food and service.
I particularly like to order my favourite dishes, the delicious curry shrimp with crab meat and the African chicken. The menu items here are very representative of Macanese cuisine.
A good cafe for a bite to eat is (Macau Tower Convention & Entertainment Centre, tel: +853 2838 9118). They use quality Mikado coffee beans that were grown listening to Mozart sonatas. I like how it's located on an esplanade with an open area to relax in. I usually order the Caesar salad with smoked salmon and my usual caffeine fix, espresso.
This is contentious, but for me, compared to other dim sum in Macau, the one at at Wynn Macau (Rua Cidade de Sintra, Nape, tel: 853 8986 3663) is one of the best in the city. I go here often, and I like the location, atmosphere — the impressive crystal dragon on the red wall — and food. My favourite dim sum items here are juicy siu mai, the delicate har gao, and thin spring rolls filled with minced shrimp.
