The application tips are useful, and the dry shadow blends well with the cream ones, though the overall effect is little too sparkly for a natural daytime look. Nars' palette has a beautiful range of flattering shades, and the brush is a nice extra, allowing you to create a smoky, long-wearing look. Our favourite, however, was the luxuriously packaged Dolce & Gabbana palette: the shadows are so smooth, they feel creamy, the colours work perfectly together, and the shimmer is more subtle.
