On Lee Perfume, Tuen Mun - make perfume your personal signature

There was a time when perfume wasn't just a fashion accessory but a personal signature. Originally part of Kwok Tai pharmacy in the 1980s, On Lee Perfume Shop evokes this golden age.

Pushed out to the edge of Tuen Mun by rising rents, the shop is now hidden in an unfashionable shopping mall. It is chock-a-block with perfumes, from Rihanna's latest offering to Guerlain Shalimar (50ml/HK$298), which was created in the 1920s. The owner, Mr Luk, says Christian Dior's 1985 creation, Poison, is his favourite. His store stocks all its subsequent incarnations, including the 1994 Tendre Poison.
