Style confessions: Marta Grossi, artist

The story behind artist Marta Grossi’s “Banana Graffiti” project is based on her fascination with Hong Kong’s frenetic fruit stands. Hailing from a small town near Venice, she exudes a down-to-earth confidence and vibrancy, characteristics that shine through in her day-to-day looks

AMANDA KHO

Stella McCartney floral jacket
I love this jacket for the explosion of colours. I wear it every time I want to feel happy, or when I need some sunlight or green.

Blue ASOS trousers
I found these brand new in a vintage market in Hong Kong a few weeks back. This blue is one of my favourite colours this season and it goes well with a nude palette and neon details.

Veronique Branquinho shoes
A gift from my mother for my last birthday. They are my first pair from this designer. They are very feminine and I'm in love with the metal copper details.

New apartment
My boyfriend is a designer so he is very careful about what happens in our home. I stick things on the wall to later find them sitting somewhere else.

Art
In a place like Florence, you don't need to go to a museum to look at art, it's all around you. And it's constantly changing depending on whether the sun is shining or it's raining.

at work ...

Grossi sports a second-hand jacket on top of a white-knotted T-shirt and navy shorts from Zara.
Grossi wears a variety of bracelets, and has a "let it go" tattoo she got from a traditional bamboo artist in Hong Kong.
Vibrant red heels from Zara.

... and for play

Marta paints her eyebrows different colours, which she mixes herself; she pairs her black EQIQ leather jacket with a Forever 21 deep V plunge shirt and a skirt from Singapore.
On her toes she wears Revlon's 221 Charming with her nude Veronique Branquinho heels.
She tunes out the city in her quiet home, dotted with mementos.
