Viktor & Rolf Spicebomb Eau Fraîche HK$600/90ml, available at Lane Crawford Claim: a fresh, summer take on the original Spicebomb scent. It's powerful and sexy, with a blast of pink pepper, chilli and grapefruit. Fleur de sel and lavender are balanced with base notes of tobacco and moss. Santal 33, HK$1,380/50ml, by Le Labo Claim: one of the more masculine of the 14 unisex, handmade creations from this new arrival from New York. Containing cardamom, iris, violet and ambrox, this one is inspired by the original Marlboro man. West Indian Lime Cologne (HK$395/100ml), by Crabtree & Evelyn Claim: part of the brand's new West Indian Lime grooming collection for men, this is a cooling, zesty fragrance combining citric notes with fresh spices and wood. Verdict: Crabtree & Evelyn 's cologne is the lightest and most refreshing but it wears off quickly. It's discreet and summery but not for those looking for a statement. The opposite could be said for Victor & Rolf's fragrance, which is definitely the boldest. It's an exotic head turner that dresses you up, though probably more suited for a night out than the office. Le Labo's Santal 33 is the most original. It's sensual but not effeminate, and settles in nicely, going from leathery woody tones to a subtle, clean scent that lasts.
