Too many streetside snack stalls sacrifice quality for quantity: lots of mediocre food at a low price. Jun Jun does it the old-school way. Located at the corner of Boundary and Portland streets, near Prince Edward MTR, this family-run takeaway joint serves Sichuan-style wonton soup (HK$15) and cold mala noodles seasoned with chilli peppers, mouth-numbing Sichuan peppercorns and lots of coriander (HK$9). Everything is made fresh on-site, which has earned Jun Jun a loyal following among people in the neighbourhood. Arrive early because once the noodles run out, they're gone for the day.
