Local trail obsessives have come to rely on Lantau Base Camp, a store tucked away in the back streets of Mui Wo, for all their outdoor needs. A short stroll from the ferry pier, "LBC" — as it's referred to by those in the know — stocks an exhaustive range of apparel, shoes, accessories and nutrition for hiking, trail running, mountain biking and water sports. Founded in 2012 by veteran trail enthusiast Jeremy Ritcey, the store has since been entrusted to passionate runner, Martijn Doekes, and is managed by equally fanatical Shane Early — making it as much a local hangout and source of knowledge as it is a pit stop for Lantau adventures.
