Food review: Dragonville Sichuan's dishes have many dimensions

Beef slices and ox offal in chilli oil (HK$65) was an excellent version, with tongue-tingling flavours that didn't overwhelm the tender pieces of beef, tongue and tripe. The spicy, mouthwatering chicken (HK$78) was composed of large, succulent pieces of dark meat in a cool, rich and spicy sauce.

the restaurant is large and spacious, with tables — for the most part — set well apart.

We also liked the Chongqing-style duck's tongues and chicken knuckles with dried chilli, especially the knuckles (usually known as the "soft bones"), which had just the right amount of crunch without being hard and rubbery. Mandarin fish slices with pickled cabbage and chilli in soup (HK$208) was an unusual dish of tender poached fish in a soothing, mild broth that had jolts of flavour from the salty vegetable.
