Price: about HK$275 without drinks or the service charge.
Ambience:  a small place with about 12 counter seats around the open kitchen.

Recommended dishes: we liked the cod with harissa miso (HK$128), a large, succulent piece of nicely cooked fish, and the tender meat in the barbecued short rib with coffee-infused butter (HK$98). Our favourite savoury dish wasn't a pancake: it was the comforting, homey hash with scraps of duck meat (HK$88). Dessert pancakes were best: one had tangy, fragrant yuzu curd and raspberry-rose purée (HK$58), while another had chocolate mousse that melted into a sauce from the warmth of the pancake, and had a well-bruléed sugar crusted half banana (HK$78).
Pros: if you get a table with a view of the kitchen, you can see the food being prepared.
Cons: this could have been so much more. We were hoping for international pancakes — okonomiyaki (from Japan), jeon (Korea), appam and uttapam from India, French crêpes, etc. What they serve is one pancake base for savoury and another for sweet, so it's just a starchy vehicle for the topping. The pancakes weren't that delicious on their own, which meant the dishes were only good if the toppings were generous and flavourful enough — which ruled out the oil-poached scallop with ikura and wasabi mayo (HK$128) and the pork with mayo and secret sauce (HK$128). The waiter was adamant that he had served us the tofu fries (HK$58) and we insisted that he hadn't. He put through the order again and tried to charge us twice for the dish on the bill.
What else? They serve a brunch menu during the day on Saturdays and Sundays.
