Bombay Dreams 4/F, 77 Wyndham Street, Central, 2971 0001 www.diningconcepts.com/BombayDreamsC/index.php FARE Indian AMBIENCE Cosy and inviting, with windows along one side of the room showcasing a street view. COST Dinner for two with a glass of wine is about HK$900. WHO TO BRING Family, friends and business associates. TURN ONS Tangy cottage cheese chunks stuffed with tomato sauce, marinated in yoghurt and baked in the tandoor was a light and tasty starter, although the tomato sauce was used sparingly. For mains, we opted for two curries. Rogan josh, a Kashmiri dish with juicy chunks of lamb cooked in onion and red pepper sauce, was deliciously tender, spicy and flavourful - it is obvious that fresh ingredients are used to make it. We then tried the chicken tikka masala. Although it was not offered on the menu, they made it for us. It had a generous helping of chicken in a rich masala sauce. We opted for the pilau rice and the whole wheat tandoori roti to go with the dishes. For something sweet to end, there is a choice of home-made ice creams or more traditional desserts such as jamun-e-gul - condensed milk balls immersed in a light cardamom-flavoured sugar syrup. TURN OFFS It was hard to catch the eye of a server - even though it was early and the restaurant was not busy, we waited about 15 minutes. DRINKS A choice of aperitifs, wines, cocktails, Cognac and soft drinks.
