Tracey Furniss

SPASSO - ITALIAN BAR RESTAURANT TERRACE
G5-8, 12-17 Empire Centre, 68 Mody Rd, Tsim Sha Tsui East 2730 8027

Italian.

A relaxing and spacious 200-seater restaurant with open kitchen, bar and alfresco dining overlooking Victoria Harbour.

Friends, family and business clients.

HK$700 a head for a three-course meal with a glass of wine.

The white alba menu featuring traditional home-made egg tagliatelle tossed with artisanal mountain butter from Beppino Occelli and white truffle petals - a simple dish done to perfection, the al dente pasta soaked up the delicious rich flavours of the butter and truffle. We started with a decent lobster bisque served with assorted cereal and rosemary and deep-fried calamari. We also tried the lasagne Bolognese with layers of fresh pasta and wagyu beef ragout and béchamel, the dish was outstanding due to the home-made pasta and quality ingredients. For dessert, an ice cream combination with vanilla, chocolate and strawberry with fresh seasonal fruit was a light and refreshing ending. The cremino consisting of Tanzanian dark chocolate with Crème fraîche and biscotti and which was served in a jar was rich and even though good, was hard to finish after a big meal.

The deep fried calamari starter was chewy.

Full bar and wide selection of wines.
