Amalfitana, a relaxing spot to fight the summer heat with artisanal pizza

AMALFITANA
Shop 105, The Pulse, 28 Beach Road, Repulse Bay
New to the popular and swanky beachside mall, The Pulse, is Amalfitana, an artisanal pizza bar. The cosy restaurant feels bigger than it is thanks to an open kitchen and folding glass doors that are kept open, giving patrons an undisturbed view of the sea and sand, and people watch as they pass by on the beachside footpath.
The openness creates a relaxed alfresco dining experience. The staff are friendly, service is quick, dogs are welcome outside, and the vibe is wonderfully beachy.

We started our lazy weekend lunch with refreshing spritzes to fight the summer heat: Rose Maria (HK$100) and Al Fresco (HK$120). Appetisers soon followed. The burrata with tomato and rocket leaves (HK$150) was smooth and creamy, and we loved every mouthful. The fluffy kale Caesar salad with asparagus (HK$90) was delicious and the slices of brightly-coloured watermelon radish made for a striking visual.
