The unforgettable Christine Hà, the visually impaired amateur chef who competed and later won the third season of MasterChef USA in 2012, is visiting Hong Kong from June 28 to July 1. For four days at Ozone, diners will have the opportunity to taste a five-course dinner created by Hà. Highlights include a main course with guests - who can choose to be blindfolded - being invited to sample a dish similar to the one she presented during the finale challenge of MasterChef . The dinner ends on a sweet note, with Hong Kong Ice Cream, a dessert that promises a familiar taste of the city. Dinner is HK$980 per person.

Popular restaurant chain Crystal Jade La Mian Xiao Long Ba has opened in Telford Plaza I, Kowloon Bay. Its 14th outlet to date, the restaurant is known for its value-for-money concept and specialises in traditional Beijing, Sichuan and Shanghai cuisine using less salt, sugar and oil. It is also known for its hand-made Lanzhou noodles. Exclusive new specialities to this new outlet include multiflavoured dumplings - jiaozi - with a contemporary twist, combining fresh pork with either French beans, cheese or kimchi, presented in three distinct colours; and also the brand’s eponymous handcrafted xiao long bao in eight flavours, including spicy beef, black truffle, French beans and cheese.

We have another dinner for two to give away at Cicada in this issue, courtesy of Enoteca Group. To find out more, go to facebook.com/goodeating.scmp or scan the QR code below, then like our Facebook page and answer the question with the photo marked “Competition” by August 31.

Meanwhile, congratulations go to Juanita Pitt, who said she deserved to win the brunch at 12000 Francs in SoHo because, “I have never given my husband a fancy cooked breakfast/brunch in all of our 33 years of marriage, so this would be a right royal treat!” Maybe when you try the lunch at 12000 Francs, Juanita, you will be inspired.
