TURN-ONS The lunch Revitalising set menu, which changes every few weeks, is a perfect option for the health conscious – the menu is vegan, gluten-free, organic, non-GMO and products are sustainably sourced. That said, the dishes were really delicious and definitely not “boringly healthy”.
We started with a salad of celeriac, apples and grapes with walnuts and lovage emulsion - you can’t go wrong with apple and walnuts, we loved the crunchy textures and balance of sweet and bitter, it was a tasty start. We then had baked cauliflower with salsa verde, spiced beurre blanc and toasted almonds. The flavours were rich and denser than the first dish, with the salsa balancing the richness - it worked well and was filling. For dessert, the gingered carrot cake with sorrel gelato and sea buckthorn berries, was another interesting dish, not too sweet. We finished with vegan chocolate and coffee. The vegan chocolate is the best we have tried in Hong Kong.
TURN-OFFS We went back a few weeks later and the dishes had changed. They were still good, but we really wanted to eat the celeriac salad again, and we were told that the menu is seasonal.
DRINKS There is a full bar and drinks menu. With the set there is coffee, espresso or tea included. Tracey Furniss
