WHO TO BRING Seafood lovers, business partners or a date you want to impress.
TURN-ONS The staff were on point and made great recommendations. They suggested a selection of each of the different types of oyster on the menu to kick off the evening. We also tried the winter salads with herbs, root vegetables and black truffle, a light and fresh dish with some thought in its presentation. The sea bass was perfect. Fresh and succulent, balanced out perfectly with the sauces.
TURN-OFFS The scallops in shell were unexpected. The molluscs were a decent size, but were otherwise lacking in taste and were completely overwhelmed by the pumpkin-cranberry-hazelnut condiment that comes with them.
DRINKS We started with Champagne that pairs well with the oysters. The subsequent pairing of wine to each course as recommended by their sommelier was also spot on.
