Uber-chic SEVVA delivers a sensory experience
Western/Asian restaurant at Landmark Prince’s has an intimate, relaxed atmosphere and a wide ranging menu
FARE Western/Asian cuisine.
WHO TO BRING Friends and business associates to impress.
TURN-ONS There is always lots to choose from on Sevva’s menu, with dishes ranging from Western, Chinese, Indian and other Asian fare. The restaurant uses the best, healthiest ingredients and cooking styles. We tried a range of healthy dishes, starting with a light and refreshing Demitasse of green soup which was a perfect blend of broccolini, asparagus and watercress.
We then tried the Shanghainese vegetable wonton, which packs in more than eight vegetable and pickle varieties. One of our favourite dishes on the menu is the healthy City’s Best Dosa; the large light dosa is filled with a classic Marsala potatoes alongside the restaurant’s original filling of roasted garlic, spinach and mushrooms. The fillings are flavourful rather than spicy. Typhoon shelter-style Chinese dishes such as crab are not renowned for being healthy - fried garlic, scallions, chilli, usually cooked with seafood - but at Sevva, we tried the typhoon shelter-style chicken, which was light and with the diverse flavours. Okay, so the crispy skin isn’t so good for you, but it was delicious. We ended with the vegetable nub nub with 10 varieties of vegetables and pickles, hand chopped and served with crispy popped rice vermicelli in a lettuce wrap.
TURN-OFFS It is hard to get a table, even at lunch time, as it fills up fast.
DRINKS There is a full bar with wines and cocktails, but we recommend the Green Yum Yum mocktail of fresh celery, pears, green apples, mint and other hidden healthy delights.
