Ambience Diners are surprised when entering John Anthony as the eco-conscious restaurant design is reminiscent of a contemporary version of old Shanghai. The establishment’s name is derived from a Qing dynasty Chinese native trader interpreter who contributed significantly to global trade during his time. Stationed at the London dock’s first Chinatown, Limehouse, John Anthony was the caretaker of Chinese and Southeast Asian sailors for three and a half decades. The interesting interior decor and the wide range of drinks and cocktails make it the ideal place to hang out.
