Hip hop MC Gold Mountain

I was born in Michigan, in a small town called Midland. My family moved to New York shortly afterwards because our Chinese restaurant closed down.
My family was ridiculously nomadic. I don’t feel like I grew up anywhere. We went from living in Vancouver to California, and now I’ve been here for five years.
I majored in English literature. I played Gameboy most of the time.
After uni, I was like everyone else—just drifting, trying to find out what I wanted to do.
I went to film school in NYC. I got all these roles too, like “Chinese waiter number five.”
I came back to Hong Kong for a quick sabbatical, my final break. Or so I thought.
