Sense of Spa
Another brand spankin’ new spa joins Hong Kong’s ever-increasing roster of beauty destinations. The newest Sense of Touch spa is located in the Repulse Bay plaza and spans 2,700 square feet, including a private enclosed garden and outdoor pavilion. Taking inspiration from its historic setting, the exclusive spa journeys are named “tobacco,” “opium,” and “fragrant harbour” (no, despite the names, none of them are about drugs). If you’re a beach bunny, consider trying out the seaside-inspired treatments, such as the “sea shell massage,” “Ocean’s 11,” and “S.O.S (Sense of Sea).” Watch this space for news of a hair salon opening at the spa early next year.

Hair Today
Here’s something a little different: La Belle beauty salon on Glenealy is playing host to an exhibition dedicated to the art of hair in its many forms. Five locally based artists have worked together with Rico Tsui to create hair artworks that explore the idea of hair as a marker of beauty, identity, politics, and symbols of power and submission. This fascinating exhibition will be on until November 6, so make sure to head down and take a look.
Opening party is on Oct 8, La Belle, G/F, Shop 1, Glenealy Tower, 1 Glenealy, Central, 2527-7178
